I'm Skye, half human, half extraterrestrial, but that will become clear later.

I don’t know about you, but over the years I have learnt that a sense of humor is crucial to survival, particularly the dark and ironic kind. And yes, like all half human, half extraterrestrial beings, I occasionally get stressed, particularly when life as we know it seems to be falling apart at the seams; when suddenly people are dying rapidly in large numbers from an unknown cause, the global economy is crashing and we are entering into the huge abyss…

But even then, I will endeavor to find humor in the darkness. As Monty Python so accurately pointed out, always look on the bright side of life.

So, was very excited to launch the book yesterday after so much hard work over these last few months. It's been an incredibly difficult year on so many levels for most of us and I really never thought I'd finish the book however it is a project close to my heart and I know I have a long way to go still in getting this out to the world but I will not give up until it has been read by thousands across the globe! I absolutely hated my experience of lockdown in Spain, however I accept that this novel would never have happened if I had not been in lockdown and had not had such exceptional experiences on my travels...

Interwoven into the story are many potential truths regarding the current global situation in 2020 that may well be perceived as controversial in these already highly divisive times. However, by engaging the reader in a plot with many different angles and shifts it softens the blow and allows the reader to reach their own conclusions without preaching, and more importantly it contains irony and black humor which is only fitting for any book with 2020 in the title!

This is the beauty of creativity and also the reason it is described as a ‘Thriller/Fantasy/Sci-Fi with a tad of irony...’.

This is the new normal, the lines have been crossed and nothing is unbelievable anymore.

I hope you find it an interesting, engaging read no matter your thoughts on the matters discussed within the story and in any case, the truth is always purely subjective.
